Android 8.1 To Save More Space Might Lower The Size Of Inactive Apps

As per a report by XDA Developers, Google will transport a new function in Android 8.1 that will assist consumers save some memory on their smartphones. Even though saving memory is not a huge issue with flagship handsets since they come with huge inbuilt memory, the problem persists with the budget Android handsets that come with 16 GB or 8 GB memory for built-in storages.
The website discovered the new function in the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) framework lately. It has been cited that the feature activates automatically when it senses that the handset is running low on internal memory. The function, once activated, saves memory by closing down the inactive applications on the smartphone.
The algorithm utilized in finding out which applications are inactive, is that the handset recognizes which apps have not been triggered by the consumer in a while or been active in the background. It has been also cited that the OEMs might have to physically facilitate this function prior to launching out Android 8.1 to its smartphones.
It is worth stating that Android 8.1 might take some period to come to the end consumers since most of the OEMs are still trialing Android 8.0 on the inside with their personal UIs.
