Google And Microsoft CEOs to Assist Rebrand Kerala
Disregard the anti-computer agitations in Kerala of CPI-M in the 1980s. Almost 30 Years now, the Marxist-controlled Kerala Government will be banking on CEOs of Google and Microsoft (2 global IT behemoths) to assist rebrand the state as the sizzling new spending destination for digital tech.
CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, and CEO of Google Inc, Sundar Pichai, (the poster boys of Silicon Valley from India) will be requested to be present as keynote speakers to a 2-day worldwide event “Towards a Digital Future,” to be conducted in Kochi on March 22–23, 2018. The state government will be investing Rs 10–15 Crore for the program, some predictions claimed.
For this reason, the state government has arranged a HPIC (high-power IT committee), with SD Shibulal and Kris Gopalakrishnan, the Malayali co-founders of Infosys Ltd, as candidates. The job of the committee is to place Kerala as the most excellent place to live and work and trade it to the exterior world. When made a contact, Kris Gopalakrishnan verified that he is fraction of the group and that there is an occasion planned for 2018. This data was provided by the industry insiders and the sources. The details were provided by the sources with the sole condition of being unidentified.
The plan of the group is to organize a list and invite almost 2,000 entrepreneurs, professionals, and academicians to be present at the meeting to be conducted in Kochi at Le Meridien Convention Hall. “It appears there were recommendations to invite Padmasree Warrior, previous CTO of Motorola; Thomas Kurian, President of Oracle; and possibly even Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla; as speakers for the keynote in the seminar,” claimed a source mentioned above and having direct knowledge of the development.
More willingly than discussion about developing IT industries, the new plan is to discuss about digital tech, which is has more effect on the existence of a person, than the software networks have. As per a source, the meeting will talk about the futuristic and latest digital techs at panel deliberations, as well as present potential of Kerala in this sector.
